I am about a month away from doing the off rodeo in Tennessee. Never done it before and I am looking for tips. I have the GoPro ready, mount purchased and I am ready to go. I have a add on driver going with me.

with that said, what tips can the group give me? Looking for tips and things you learned that you wish you knew before you went.

Take lots of videos. You can always pull a snapshot from those. Work with the trail guide to know where to get out and film. Our guide (Max) was very helpful and had no problem letting folks take the time to film.

Tips: Listen to the guide. Ask questions if not sure. Most of all.....have fun. Nothing scary on the sport trail.

first, thank you for the response. Any other gotchas or things you would have brought if you knew more before going?

*** THE FOLLOWING IS FROM THE FULL-SIZED BRONCO PERSPECTIVE. THERE WERE FAR FEWER BRONCO SPORTS AT THE FACILITY, AND THE BRONCO SPORT GROUPS WERE SMALLER. ***

I went June of 2025. The staff and venue overall was excellent. The facility was clean and the whole experience was, well, relaxing. I honestly didn't learn much, but the experience itself made it worth it. If you bring your spouse or a buddy you can outsource some of the driving to and from the event, as well as the off-roading itself. At that time, driving my own Bronco was not an option.

The downsides: Only a couple of 2-door Broncos were available, and zero manual transmissions. I was lucky enough to get a 2-door Black Diamond. Worse: The entire course was built around the use of the 4-door automatics. The curriculum did not cover the numerous advantages/disadvantages of the manual over the automatics in the varying situations we'd encounter in those mountain trails. And believe me, the shorter wheelbases were much better adapted in those narrow trails than the 4-door.

Have fun!

If anyone wants to know my experience, ping this thread first part of May and I can share how it was. I will forget so people will have to remind me. I appreciate the feedback so far.
