Probably because they're still waiting for their cars...
A lot of them placed reservations in July 2020 and are still waiting. So Ford is giving them stuff due to delays.
I've seen people that already have theirs and even some that canceled their orders and they are still receiving gifts. Some have said they have gotten several items. And I know someone with a full size, they have gotten a Hammock and a flag. She said the one she got before hers came in she assumed was like a thanks for purchasing thing but she didn't know why she would still be getting stuff. I knew some dealers were doing stuff for orders for their customers but not Ford directly. So just curious.
And those I totally get but not the others, especially ones that canceled their orders.
The intention is to send gifts cause of excessive delays. If someone cancels and still gets gifts it probably incorrect book keeping where dept that sends gifts not aware the person canceled.
I was just curious. If Sports orders were getting them too. Some of them had delays as well. Just seen a good bit posting about getting some things and my realtor and his wife as well. Was nice of them to send you guys a gift card for the delay in your repairs.
The June Lot Rot ppl got a $100 gift card and a I'm Sorry For Delay email from Ford. Then shortly after that Lot Rots were shipping and arriving at dealers.
Some placed orders at dealers who dont have enough allocation and will have to wait till 2023 or later before theirs gets built.
Oh my customer service at my dealer was beyond awesome. I didn't get any merchandise but my dealer does give oil changes for life and lifetime power train on all new vehicles sold. So I did get those ?
Oh wow. I haven't been inconvenienced. The wait from July to January was hard but not anything I didn't expect being in with the first orders. And we take all our cars to get serviced every couple months. We have 3 Fords in total.
