Happy new Bronco Sport owner here, but I’m going MOD crazy trying to have fun with a new model line that not a lot of modifications are designed for yet. One thing I miss about being a Jeep owner (especially in Colorado) was going to the Pick-n-Pull lots every first weekend of the month to go see what “I wanna try off-roading” tourists wrecked in the mountains. So many fun parts to piece together for my Jeep.
Anyway, I’m a Bronco Sport owner now, and I’m looking for a spare tire swing away mount for the rear of the car the mounts to the frame and not the tow hitch. I’ve had poor experience using a tow hitch mount. It’s a loose fit, it’s loud because it rattles, and I just don’t like the single contact point for the mount to the car.
But - I’m coming up empty handed in my searches. Anyone have any leads?

there's a few out there but i think they are big $$$, and are 'universal' fit. i think Rigid Industries was one of them.

I can't help assuage your fears regarding the single contact point (although they are designed to pull 2000 - 2200 lbs), but have you tried a hitch stabilizer to get rid of the rattles?

I never thought of that, thanks!
In regards to the single contact point, in not concerned with the hitch, I’m more weary of the mount. I’ve seen a few “supposed” of the tire frames bend heavily over time, specifically from the main post that makes the 90 degree cut into the hitch. Granted, a lot of variables can play into that, but I’m looking to remove them from my desire. I just feel better with a more “solid” frame connection. And the look of an external bumper guard (like the Rough Country Nudge Bar for the front) with an attached spare sway is a look I can’t get out of my head.
