After months of thinking and putting off and bargain hunting. I got new meats for the BL, 245/65s. I was going to go with the pirelli Scorpion at+, but with the factory scorpion atr I was super disappointed. Brand new when I got the car they are down to the warning tread at less than 30k, all 4 are like that. I don't drive aggressively and take it easy on the road and was super disappointed with the tread wear. I had the same issues with goodyear wranglers on my jeep so they were a no go. A bargain hunt found gt radial adventuro atx for around $440. I chose the adventuro atx over the same tread at3 because the atx has the 3pms and hefty sidewall cleats. I'm not knowledgeable enough about tires to know any further difference between the 2. Also from research I found that gt radial may discontinue the at3. It was also important that gt radial states the tires are made in America. Anyone else use these? I also noted that the clearance from the bottom of the door is just over 1' and the clearance at the lowest part of the skid plates are just over 9" any idea what this means to approach, break over and departure?
