Legal off roading in Massachussetts?

Anyone know where a total amateur can go off roading legally in Massachusetts?

I only know of beaches... Sandy Neck Beach, Nauset Beach and Race Point. I haven't been in years tho.

Nauset is good, about 6 miles of back trail to ride south and a decent amount out front trail. Likely will be closed soon to plovers, reopening back in late July/early August. You’ll need to get an over sand vehicle permit which is a little pricey in-season if you aren’t a resident, but after ~Columbus day it goes on sale, still good til the next June.

Very doable for a non BS BL, but I’d avoid it when there is snow or ice.

Where do you live. I’m in western mass. Can come with if you wanna wheel. Few trails out this way I know. Mostly jeep trails but I know doable ones in BS. I’ve done them. Might dirty your whip and or scratch it. But that’s half the fun. I’d recommend A/T tires at least

Yeah cause people started to tear shit up and leave parts etc all over. Ruin private property etc. so they’ve closed blocked off a bunch of places where you used to be able to wheel. But don’t stress those since the BS wouldn’t even make it to the trail head. Need a minimum of 35s, lockers and a winch at bare minimum for those.

im in north brookfield. i don't know western mass roo we;;. whats out there?and thank you. i dont mind dirtying up but i dont want to leave needing a paint job lol

Join 207 Overland on facebook, they have a good southern maine crew and wont let you get left behind. though you really need front tow hooks and a rear one too for anything beyond "green" level trips.

Any Forest service roads around you, we have one in Freetown State Forest near where I live. You could probably check that out
