Purchased the Rear Seatback Cargo Bag system by XG Cargo for the Bronco Sport.
TL;DR (mostly) quality purchase. Lots of great detachable storage. Minor install frustration. Recommended
1 Why?
I needed to use my ‘21 purchase Ford points before they expired. Tried to find something that wasn’t too much money out of pocket or that I actually wanted. Ford’s accessory site seems to have taken a huge hit with tariffs as there is now a fraction of what was there when I casually shopped for accessories in recent years.
2 Install
a couple things: the bag system when purchasing through Ford’s site is listed without branding. Had no idea who made this. There are few details on installing and compatibility with things like the rear seats snapped-on rubberized mats and the cargo tray. Some photos show the side rails but none show the mats or the trays. It was a leap of faith on my part.
Install is just as bad as IKEA instructions.
Step 5 is the most frustrating. The only way I knew what to do was discovered because my phone (reading the install instructions on it) slid into the frame cavity between the rear seats and the rear cargo mats and spare tire well. When fishing the phone out I discovered the crossbeam the straps wrapped around.
3 Quality
Bags and rail pads are sturdy. I’d say they would survive some regular wear and tear. The bags look great. The “Bronco” bag has pen and tool sleeves and a MOLLE system.
the larger messenger/laptop bag has some nice padding and pockets. the attached rail pads have pockets and mesh storage as well. If I have to ding the quality, it’s firstly the plastic hook that attach to the headrests and car seat mounts. These could break but likely wouldn’t unless pulled excessively when loading/unloading. Main knock though is the choice to use elastic on most of the securing straps. Those will dry rot. They should’ve had slightly better securing straps. Will they rot during my vehicle lifetime? Maybe not.

Good gear storage system. It’s pricy but cost me next to nothing with a couple discounts. Reasonable self install. Compatibility with mats and tray table if you have them.
