Hood deformity

Hey all, wanted to post this here to see if others have this issue. Not life-changing but I ordered hood shocks (to hold the hood open without the prop rod safely) and when I went to install them the drivers side mount location looks like it was manufactured poorly, like it was punched awkwardly out of the metal causing it to be twice the normal size and with a tab extending into the void. Unfortunately I can’t use the shocks with this deformity, taking it to the dealership to see what they’ll do this week. Also have the shifter cable rattle, so hopefully 2 for 1.
