I do not recall mine making that noise initially but now I hear a faint hiss type of sound out of driver side AC vent. It seems like if I put hand over vent noise goes away. And noise is only there when foot is on the gas pedal lightly. Kind of sounds like a gerbil on an exercise wheel type of noise. But it very faint noise. My wife has been driving vehicle daily and she has not said anything about the noise. Could be vacuum leak, turbo charge tube leak, or normal. Either way not the kind of noise to raise concern in my opinion.
I may do a boost leak check at some point in future. So if it is some type of vacuum leak it should be fairly easy to pin point location with a boost leak check. Boost leak check is a common procedure to see if any of the turbo ducting / piping / couplers ect are leaking any boost. It can also be used to find vacuum leaks too.
