Well I took my first long trip in the BS. I went from Eastern TN to Central MO. 1200 miles round trip.

I noticed the tranny was shifting a little latter then I think it should. The BS would shudder a bit because it was in to high a gear going up the hills, before it would down shift and run right along.

If it was only once I would have figured it was me, but it was just about every grade even when my wife was driven.

Anyone else notice this.

Same deal with me. 1900 mile road trip from Arizona to North Carolina. I have the same shudder when going up the NC hills. I was nervous at first since I had not experienced this in AZ where my permanent residence is. Seems to just be a quirk of the turbo engine. I'm usually light on the pedal in the name of MPG preservation, but the Sport just needs a little more encouragement than other vehicles I've owned.

I'm wondering if you were in ECO or normal mode? Maybe Sport mode would have been better?

I was in normal mode. Driving on an interstate I shouldn’t have to be in Sport Mode to have the vehicle shift right.

If I had been in Eco mode I would except this.

Hey, Mlarv! I would like to like to into this shifting concern you’re experiencing with your Bronco Sport. Could you please send over a private message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer?

Good Morning. I have not taken it to any dealer for this, and I don’t want to toss my dealer under the bus. They work great with me.

I will send my Vin etc tonight when I get home. I really think it is the shift strategy programmed into the TCM.

My 2022 Big Bend does the same thing. It doesn't have to be on the highway, it does it on even slight grade hills in suburban NJ. Is this a known problem, or did I get a dud?

Mine shifts perfectly but I did need to get some miles on the clock. It was fine after about 3k miles
