On Friday I woke up early, saddled up the BroSpo & hit the road for an urban excursion. We traveled south along the NY Thruway all the way down to NYC to meet up with fellow Forum member @maximumwang to pick up a set of OEM rubber floor mats that he had up for sale on the forum along with some other goodies that are still available BTW:

Max has been at the Bronco Sport game longer than I have (I’m only a week into ownership) and he showed me a host of curated mods on his vehicle: a roof rack, pioneer gear, ski racks, appropriately aggressive Geolanders, and a slew of stickers on the back window. All making for a very cool ride indeed! Spot the noob in the photo:
After taking care of business & enjoying Max’s hospitality (which included a tour of his phenomenal furniture making studio), the BroSpo & I headed into downtown Manhattan where I parked (uneventfully) & spent the afternoon hanging out in my old nabe. The weather was glorious for February & the food was as good as I remember, if a tad more expensive than when I moved away.
The BroSpo handled great in NYC and turned quite a few heads. Speaking of turning, I had to remind myself that I can’t turn right on a red. I only had to stop short one time for an oddly dressed jaywalking cowboy and his friend.
I want to extend a big thank you to my new friend Max & also to the Bronco Sport Forum for providing a place for the community to gather, interact, buy/sell, & all the things. ?
