Thought I would share my new tire setup I went with. I bought Vision SW60 steel wheels and Nokian Outpost 245/70r16 tires for my Outer Banks. The wheels barely cleared the brakes, so I added some 5mm spacers, but I am not sure if that was necessary (or a good idea). I haven't noticed any rubbing, but haven't been off road with the new setup. Thought I would share. I will update how the tires do once we get some more snow in Wyoming.

Also, the wheels are +42mm offset. I bought TireRack part # F2GZ-1A189-A and they paired with the TPMS system without having to do anything.

Looks good. I'm running 1.25" spacers. Gives me about .5" of tire outside the fender well. 10K miles with zero problems.

It is 99% my wife's vehicle, so probably no lift

Tough looking ride with the steel wheels and tire choice.
Your 245/70/16's are basically the same diameter and width as 245/65/17 inch tires which a number of people are running including myself.

Thanks. I found the tires on eBay for $450 shipped which was pretty of my inspiration to go for this size. I also have never loved lower profile ties.
