My son’s riding lesson horse stopped for a bite right beside the Badlands on his way back to the paddock. Couldn’t resist the double entendre shot.
Well after a 10-month wait, a cancellation of my June build lot rot order, and a frantic search to pre-buy incoming dealer inventory (of which there is almost zilch for fully loaded Badlands!) I managed to snag this beauty and picked it up last night! Everything I wanted in the build, just in...
You bet Steven, I'll let you know if it passes inspection, LOL. Texas and Alberta are just brothers from a different mother, so if it passes here I would be surprised if it isn't allowed in the Lone Star State!
My reaction was pretty much the same. Nobody is saying the Baby Bronc is a 4Runner beater when it comes to offroading...but he didn't even give the BS a fighting chance. Starts up a steep icy incline in normal mode, comes to a dead stop in a foot of snow, and then switches modes and expects it...
Totally agree, Dave. We are all here presumably because we love the Bronco Sport and recognize that it does everything we need it to and want it to, on or off road. It's ridiculous to compare apples to oranges and say the apple is "bad" because it's not an orange.
If I had a Shelby Cobra...
I'd like to see a water fording or rock crawling video from the perspective of the front-mounted camera! These POV shots from the cab are cool but I think it would look really neat to see what the front grill is seeing that much closer to the ground.
Definitely the tires could have been a factor. I think Car & Driver actually clocked one run at 5.9 secs and Motor Trend 6.5. Hell even in my very unscientific test drive I figured 6.8. My test unit had the Pirelli Scorpions and not the Falken Wildpeaks, so that could well be the difference...
Who the heck were these so-called "expert testers" at the Edmonds track? 7.2 seconds for 0-60? I've seen it as low as 6 and an average of 6.5. No way a 250 HP engine with 275lb-ft of torque, on a vehicle that weighs only 3300 lbs, should take more than 7 seconds to reach 60mph. Perhaps they...
I've always liked the look and functionality of mud guards, especially on vehicles with flat backs that take a lot of splash. They worked well on my 97 4Runner...how are you finding them on the Bronco Sport? Helping to keep the back wiper from working overtime?
Agree with all the posts here. I knew exactly what I was ordering after my two test drives. I wanted a vehicle that had all the horsepower, interior creature comforts and smooth(ish) ride of a unibody CUV...but also something that allowed me to get into places I'd never go with a Mazda CX-9...
Super pics, videos and write-ups...thanks Elboy! It's going to be a long painful wait for my BL/BL package I'm sure...especially as I watch everyone on this forum having fun with theirs! At least I should have it in time for summer fun in the Rockies...which I'm fortunate to have pretty much...
