YES! Thank you for taking the time to explain this. Everyone made it sound like that hole led directly into the space under the dash, and that's clearly not the case. I actually ended up buying a boroscope to see what was going on which definitely helped me find this second hole. Thanks...

I still can't find it even after your advice. It feels like it just disappears into the nether regions between pieces of stamped metal. Any further advice would be greatly appreciated.
