Be careful if you set out to "test abilities." For some reason that always results in finding it's limits - usually in the most embarrassing way possible. Case in point: Burying my Jeep up to the frame even with a lift, lockers, and 37" tires. Don't ask how, LOL! Saved by an old Toyota -...
For most, true... but for the one I pulled out of the sand (twice) they sure wish they had the locking diff. Nothing worse than having your entire 4wd system defeated by one spinning wheel while your traction control tries to burn down your brake pads. Kind of hated the rubber mats to begin...
Interesting... Maybe I'll try premium again now that break-in has passed. Went from first tank 91 to mid-grade and now been running 87 for about 2K miles. Not sure about the E85 suggestion - sounds like a good way to void your warranty.
It's not my "opinion" it's my real world experience which believe it or not can vary from yours  (also an infrequent short-distance driver - so just sounded odd since I don't seem to have this problem). But yes, another reason to disable it! Wish it would stay disabled. Thx government.
Low battery? Something is wrong if a new vehicle keeps discharging the battery due to non-use or short miles. Should be able to sit for weeks with no problem. Even with just a few minutes running on occasional short trips. I'd have the dealer look at that.
...or just slow down in front of you! Had a friend in college with a black Crown Vic; always ended up cursing at people crawling down streets at 25mph.
Yes, have all the messages in the app. Called dealer this week and I guess they have the ability to look up codes remotely. Finally recorded something related to a transmission solenoid so taking it in Monday.
Did they get a code, or just guessing at it? Had it happen 3 more times, but goes away before I can get it over there. Says reduced power but doesn't seem like it's in limp mode. It's literally just the warning that bugs me at this point. Figured I have a lot more warrantee left, lets see if...
Doing the same. I have this same intermittent problem, except I've already been to the dealer, who then did nothing. Just happened again to me for the second time. Light, no light on restart. Dealer says they couldn't find any issues (aside from the fact I have a record of the malfunction in...
Update: Dealer basically said "huh, no codes and seems ok" and did nothing. Now 400mi later and it happened again. Same light. Went away after I parked it for about 30min. Now no light or codes.
Debating whether it's worth my time to have the dealer tell me there's nothing wrong with it...
Got the molded rubber ones from Ford Accessories. They're nice! Just wish there was a way to attach the carpet mats since the new ones snap into the front leaving the carpets loose (but far less slippery than the floor and acceptable). I really like how the back mats cover the center hump and...
Not sure. It came with the same standard mats as the Big Bend - nothing special about them that indicates Badlands version. Driver's map snaps into place on two pegs, passenger has one peg, rear just slide around wherever they like.
Dammit people! Now that I know about this, had to go look... and now it's going to bother me. Maybe I'll just pretend I didn't read this thread and go about my life... Ugh! I can't!
Is it weird mine doesn't make the sport mode sounds? Probably more annoying/stupid than anything else, but now kinda sad I don't get to join in on the complaining (and listening to those sweet fake v8 noises :sunglasses::crackup:)
I have the standard carpet ones, and my drivers' side is fine - mounts in place on two posts just like yours. The other ones though... Front passenger side has one post that it swivels around on, and the back are completely useless. They spend more time bunched-up under the front seats more...
