It’s not a Ford thing, it’s a modern “eco-friendly” paint thing. I had 500 miles on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and had several chips through the paint and primer on the grill from simple road debris.
In my opinion, all pets riding in cars should be crated, if only for their protection. Nothing irks me more than seeing somebody driving around with their dog on their lap or roaming free in the cabin/bed of a vehicle.

All used car prices are crazy right now. Yeah, you can get more than you expected in trade value, but expect to pay much more than normal for anything you want to replace it with.
The thing is, the people making those purchases generally do not have the money to spend. The idea that you can /would finance a vehicle for 84 months is ridiculous.
