Both in Colorado west of the Springs: 1st is Mt Herman Road/Rampart Range Road and the second is Phantom Canyon Road which is the old railroad line that ran from Canon City to Victor. Both are not heavy 4wheel roads but they do have some nice offshoot that can be semi challenging for the Lil Bronco
You are correct: but the idea is to clear that area BEFORE you start the vehicle. Or (I haven't checked this) flip the wipers away from the windshield. Down side of course you can't remote start your vehicle. Basically screwed or more screwed..LOL And no the defroster doesn't help.. just a bad...
That's how I 'lucked' into mine. Though here in CO the dealers are allowed up to a certain mileage and still sell as new, so really no discount as it's still considered new.
Dealership was being sold, got it with about 600 miles on it, X Plan was the biggest discount, along with Yakima ski racks...
I did a quick check in the manual and didn't see anything, but thought it had to do with a FE special option. I guess when snow is expected, turn the vehicle off with wipers in midstream....
