It wasn’t the turn signal bulbs it was the brake light bulbs. They weren’t getting bright when I hit the brakes. I replaced those and the hyper flashing went away. The dealership was swearing up and down that it could be the bcm.
It’s a shame that they didn’t investigate further. A day later I noticed my brake lights weren’t getting bright when I hit the brakes. I replaced those bulbs and the hyper flashing went away.
I’m also fairly certain that resetting the bcm will fix this which the dealership wouldn’t try because they didn’t want to unplug the ODB plug that functions as the dash cams power supply. I guess I didn’t tell them that was there but it’s pretty obvious to see.
That’s ridiculous though I shouldn’t have to pay them to connect two wires to the battery and plug in an odb2 plug. Also with everything disconnected I still have the problem.
I have tried disconnecting everything. It wasn’t a big deal I just undid them from the battery terminals.
I should add that I have tried 912s 921s and 912 leds which I know will make it blink rapidly. I originally did not try these just the incandescent ones
i have tried swapping lamps I have tried three different sets of bulbs. Originally just one side would blink rapidly then it was both sides when I replaced them. All the outside lights blink normal pace it’s just on the dash that blinks rapidly.
