Just received the recall notice in Fordpass. I was at the dealer for unrelated issues and asked them about it. The rep said that their info shows information will be relayed to dealers in November on how to fix the issue, and they said service likely won't be available until 2022.

I hear it as well. This engine sounds significantly different than any other car i've driven, this hissing included. I guess if it is this widespread, I won't be terribly concerned about it...

Happens 95% of the time on my new badlands as well. Obviously not a big deal, but its not like any of this is custom... you'd think they would have tested their startup animations on a production vehicle during startup.. Hopefully an OTA coming in the future.
