been a few weeks since i last updated everyone--- prior to 4th of July, i was given guidance that the supplier was starting up production and glass units would be at a Ford warehouse by July 15th, overnighted to my dealership and eta of 20th for repair. Called the dealer a few times looking...

Would love to find out how/why the one you saw broke... which dealership was it? Maybe I'll see if my service rep can investigate...

Did your moonroof shatter too? I talked to ford body shop first, they said it was doable- corporate didn't give it green light for my situation

New update... sometime in July 20th range is now the eta.... Asked if they could swap the whole roof unit to a solid roof, but ford didn't go for that idea

this is going to get interesting... I called this afternoon, to check on the status- and was told "still shows as eta today, but hasnt arrived yet. if it arrives early enough we'll pop it in today, otherwise first thing Monday" 2 hours later, they call back--- and now the eta is shown as July...

It wasn't too sudden... quite cold jan, feb, March, well into 40s and 50s thru April, and up down thru may-- was 90 for 3 days before/when it happened

Never once opened it (mayyybe once during pre delivery drive) was frigid since January and was just switching to hot Temps here.

Check in last week Thursday, dealer said eta still Monday 14th. Expected to get vehicle today, and was informed glass is now eta on friday.... so maybe get it Friday or Monday.... glad I made my ford credit payment for this month!

i had reached out to ford-- but of course this is probably subject to change-- regarding attending other sites as a BS FE owner (as i would love to do the Moab site)... they said i would be able to sign up for other sites, but would have to pay the cost of registration (didnt say what it is)...

wish it wasnt so far outside of Austin (although to get the terrain, it probably has to be). Would be nice if they provided loaner broncos for us to drive around town in-- but a rental car (if they're even available) will be an added cost if we opt to stay at another hotel. With summer...

interested to see if anyone has found alternatives--- very odd that the visor doesnt fold correctly, but instead bumps out, hindering sight. almost needs a longer elbow/arm so it can bend around the ceiling a bit more.

appreciate all of the input here-- hopefully this doesnt happen to others. Updated ETA is June 14th for the glass, should have it back the next day. Hoping it comes in sooner, but wouldnt be surprised if it takes longer either.

Oh...dealership went straight to the "debris" cause right away, wouldn't entertain warranty

Update-- told insurance that i didnt believe anything hit me-- but they said they didnt have a way to prove it was "bad glass", so they're going to cover it under an insurance claim. no word on eta yet

Tell me more about this-- "waiting for them to install on new builds"... that's interesting to me...
