Note to anyone installing cross bars.. There is a taper to our trucks, the width from rail to rail is narrower at the back than st the front of the truck, so don't do what I did and figure one out, then duplicate on the second bar, crank everything nice and tight... only to realize it is almost...
Why the Yakima vs rhinorack vortex or Thule? I bought the Yakima set (same as yours, small size so it's minimal overhang) but wondering if I should spend the extra 50$ for the rhinorack. The Yakima locks are 100$ for 4..so comes to roughly 50$ less than the rhinorack that comes with the locks...
FYI: So i called SportRack (which is owned by Thule) to see what they say before i open the box and try them, and she said they wont work, SportRack is usually for older model vehicles, and is Thule's "value brand". So back to the Evo WingBar 135 at nearly triple the price, unless someone here...
