  1. 1.5" Rough Country Lift enough?

badlands doesn’t have a 1 inch lift. You get 1 inch of clearance increase through taller tires and stiffer springs that don’t squat as much. .25 inches from the tires and .75 from the springs. 2 inches is usually the max you can go with IFS without making very significant modifications
  2. 2.0 springs under a big bend

Those are just the badlands springs. It should ride exactly like a badlands. The badlands gets its lift through stiffer springs so less squat.
  3. So is ordering a 22 badlands the best way to go now?

I am not on here to stir the pot. Look at my post history. I am one of the first bronco sport owners in the country. I was one of the first to off road in a big bend. I discovered the rough country lift sway bar problem. I have probably had my sport off road more than anyone on this forum. I...
  4. So is ordering a 22 badlands the best way to go now?

sure the vehicle may work for a few hour road trip with a small overnight bag. multiples days worth of camping gear for 4 people including coolers, wood, luggage, off road equipment, sleeping bags, cots, food…no way that works. I did sell my sport and bought a lightly used 2021 Tiguan sel...
  5. So is ordering a 22 badlands the best way to go now?

nonsense to the jeep forum? Stop your fanboy-ism. The sport is too short. The numbers don’t tell the story. The cargo hold is very tall not long which presents an issue for camping with 4 people. I have the car so I know. Besides anyone over teenager size wouldn’t want to be there for long. I...
  6. So is ordering a 22 badlands the best way to go now?

the sport is not an off road capable family vehicle. It is very small. You can’t fit 4 people and all your camping gear in a bronco sport. I tried. Even with a Yakima box it didn’t work. You really can only take a real camping trip with 2-3 people max in the sport. that said I would pass on the...
  7. So is ordering a 22 badlands the best way to go now?

Not sure what model or Ranger you drove but I drove a Ranger this weekend and the Ranger crushed the sport in every way possible except styling. The interior was higher quality albeit an older design, the ride was much smoother, better weighted steering with a much better feeling steering wheel...
  8. So what would you change?

Lol this is a basically a cool budget model bare bones car. An a class Mercedes will have better speakers and components
  9. Universal Garage Door Opener

I bet it is the same visor as the escape. If the escape visor has GDO that would be an easy swap
  10. All 2” and 1 1/4” level lift pre orders start shipping out next week.

yes because there is already a higher ride height due to the spring set up
  11. All 2” and 1 1/4” level lift pre orders start shipping out next week.

so that is the only difference related to height is the spring rate?
  12. Leveling Lift Kit Installed on a Bronco Sport Big Bend

Tires are only 29 inch for 235/45/r17 so there must be something different in the suspension.
  13. Rear drive unit failure on Badlands

All models have a cooler. The difference is how it’s cooled. Air vs liquid.
  14. Leveling Lift Kit Installed on a Bronco Sport Big Bend

Mostly with tire and the rear knuckle. It’s a 1/2 inch more basically plus the tires
  15. All 2” and 1 1/4” level lift pre orders start shipping out next week.

You get one inch extra clearance over a base model but not a 1 inch lift. Part of it comes from tires and the other part from the rear knuckles I believe.
  16. Rough country lift kit: Snapped/bent sway bar drop bracket

I’ve not shortened the OEM sway bar end links and have been driving on and off road without issue
  17. Is Outer Banks beachworthy?

the 17 inch continentals worked great on sand in the California desert. If you air down sufficiently you should be ok. as always when driving in sand have an escape plan if you get stuck and proper recovery gear
  18. How big of a tire with minimal rubbing on a 1.5" lift?

Yes 100% if you read feedback from here it’s nothing but problems. I had to go back to the factory Ford sway bar end links. 4wheelparts has a 1 inch lift level and Robby Woolworth has a 2 inch lift. I haven’t used them but I would definitely recommend them over the rough country lift kit
  19. Big bend tire sizes -- what AT tires won’t rub??

Badlands does not have 1 inch lift. It’s maybe .75 at most and the rest of the height comes from the upgraded tires. 245 will rub no matter what anyone wants to say. There is video proof of it on the bronco sport Facebook groups. People want to justify their purchase and say it won’t rub but...
  20. Badlands Rubbing limits

245 tires rub at max turning and articulation. Nobody wants to admit so they can justify their purchase. A guy in one of the Facebook groups posted a video of BFGs on his badlands in 245/65/17 and the absolutely did rub at full lock and wouldn’t be suitable for off road at all.
