badlands doesn’t have a 1 inch lift. You get 1 inch of clearance increase through taller tires and stiffer springs that don’t squat as much. .25 inches from the tires and .75 from the springs.
2 inches is usually the max you can go with IFS without making very significant modifications
I am not on here to stir the pot. Look at my post history. I am one of the first bronco sport owners in the country. I was one of the first to off road in a big bend. I discovered the rough country lift sway bar problem. I have probably had my sport off road more than anyone on this forum. I...
sure the vehicle may work for a few hour road trip with a small overnight bag.
multiples days worth of camping gear for 4 people including coolers, wood, luggage, off road equipment, sleeping bags, cots, food…no way that works.
I did sell my sport and bought a lightly used 2021 Tiguan sel...
nonsense to the jeep forum? Stop your fanboy-ism. The sport is too short. The numbers don’t tell the story. The cargo hold is very tall not long which presents an issue for camping with 4 people.
I have the car so I know. Besides anyone over teenager size wouldn’t want to be there for long.
I...
the sport is not an off road capable family vehicle. It is very small. You can’t fit 4 people and all your camping gear in a bronco sport. I tried. Even with a Yakima box it didn’t work. You really can only take a real camping trip with 2-3 people max in the sport.
that said I would pass on the...
Not sure what model or Ranger you drove but I drove a Ranger this weekend and the Ranger crushed the sport in every way possible except styling. The interior was higher quality albeit an older design, the ride was much smoother, better weighted steering with a much better feeling steering wheel...
You get one inch extra clearance over a base model but not a 1 inch lift. Part of it comes from tires and the other part from the rear knuckles I believe.
the 17 inch continentals worked great on sand in the California desert. If you air down sufficiently you should be ok.
as always when driving in sand have an escape plan if you get stuck and proper recovery gear
Yes 100% if you read feedback from here it’s nothing but problems. I had to go back to the factory Ford sway bar end links.
4wheelparts has a 1 inch lift level and Robby Woolworth has a 2 inch lift. I haven’t used them but I would definitely recommend them over the rough country lift kit
Badlands does not have 1 inch lift. It’s maybe .75 at most and the rest of the height comes from the upgraded tires.
245 will rub no matter what anyone wants to say. There is video proof of it on the bronco sport Facebook groups. People want to justify their purchase and say it won’t rub but...
245 tires rub at max turning and articulation. Nobody wants to admit so they can justify their purchase. A guy in one of the Facebook groups posted a video of BFGs on his badlands in 245/65/17 and the absolutely did rub at full lock and wouldn’t be suitable for off road at all.
