I wouldn’t want to do that, now that it’s obvious we’re going to see it soon.
I’d just be interested in talking to the drivers, and seeing if they’d reveal anything to me. There was a Toyota test mule (some sort of hybrid car) parked at a QT right by my house, and the driver was smoking a cig...
Fair enough. If I truly intend to keep my Bronco forever and pass it down to my kids etc. I won’t go with a hybrid. If I think I’ll keep it for a few years and upgrade down the line to the “rubicon” equivalent package I’ll probably go with the hybrid.
I honestly think the mass-production future will be like the new RAV4 plug in hybrid. It’s a sick system, faster than any other RAV4 and gets 39 miles of electric only range. I’d love that system in the Bronco.
Nice! So based on this probably going to have the C- headlights like the baby leaked image?
Edit: the more I look at it the more the curve makes it seem like the baby bronco grill. Not 100% on that but nice find either way!
I’m kinda curious now how well the baby will compare to the defender. In a lot of ways the baby bronco almost seems like a baby defender. IFS front and rear, unibody, styling. It almost seems like it could be nearly as capable too.
Couldn’t have said it better myself.
If y’all are REALLY upset about this stuff when you finally buy a 2021 Bronco off Craigslist (20 years from now)you can remove those pesky features you don’t like. Hell you might even be able to sell them and get some money
And does that millions of dollars a year just disappear into the ether? Nope it goes right back into Americans pockets since we are talking about American vehicles assembled in the USA. There are worse places to put my money, $30-$40 in a $40,000 car is inconsequential. And yes I know “death by...
Lowest common denominator. Who in the world is going to say "I might forget my kid in my car better get an aftermarket alarm to remind me" that's not how this works. My idiot acquaintance who let her kid fall in the pool sure as hell would be prone to leaving her kid in a hot car but she is a...
Here’s the issue guys: it doesn’t cost you extra because of economies of scale. It’s a hell of a lot cheaper to just include it for everybody than it is to have it as an option. Same thing with power locks and windows, it’s just not worth having two separate assembly lines/parts etc.
I’m not mindlessly buying the new Bronco, I just care about features that actually affect the capabilities and driving experience. Removable roof, manual transmission, good off road capability, modularity, styling, are all literally 1000x more important to me than the radio or sensors that it...
It’s not just that. It’s just that a lot of this shit DOESN’T CHANGE THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE. I’ve said this multiple times and I’ll say it again: if auto-start stop, a backseat sensor, lack of a V8, automatic emergency braking, lack of an 8-track player, etc is SERIOUSLY going to stop you from...
Yup that’s why the government spent BILLIONS of dollars bailing out FCA and GM 10 years ago. Because they don’t want us driving.
I can actually feel my IQ lowering reading some of this.
