I feel my BS Badlands is a true 4WD even without the low range.
Interesting observation: when retrieving my seadoo, I had to put my F150 in 4WD to get up the “ramp” (rocky incline). Didn’t do anything in the Badlands and no issue ?. Probably more AWD but still nice not to have to do anything
Completely normal. Happens in every vehicle I’ve ever owned. I’m in Eastern Canada so we have real winters. Summer is 9.6L/100km and winter is 11L/100km
I live in Eastern Canada, so we get a fair bit of snow lol. I have a Badlands with Bridgestone Blizzaks. Here’s what I do:
If it’s dry/partially snow covered, I do nothing. Normal mode, no Goat modes used.
If snow covered, I lock in 4WD. Nothing else.

I’ve heard similar noises with other rented vehicles as well as the Bronco.
I think it’s just the way vehicles are these days….full of electronic bells and whistles just waiting to malfunction lol
