  1. AN OPINION ON THE EV MARKET

As with so many things these days, both sides of the issue go too far to the extremes. EVs are great (even superior) for certain use cases, but poor for others. We own both a 2021 Mustang Mach-E and a 2023 Bronco Sport. Love them both. Most of our miles go on the Mach-E because we're on good...
  2. Nice 10 hour road-trip.

We just finished a 2700 mile trip in our new BSOB. It was good, but the seats aren't quite as comfortable as our Mustang Mach-E that I get almost no back/hip/thigh fatigue from. After about 3 hours, I was starting to feel it in the BSOB. But sometimes that's just a matter of getting the...
  3. Poll: How much did you pay for your Bronco Sport?

Yeah, I know that and almost spelled out that that additional $475 savings from X-Plan isn't actually off of MSRP but rather what it WOULD have been vs someone just paying flat MSRP and standard D&H. But I didn't want to complicate it and get more wordy. ? I think the main thing most are...
  4. Poll: How much did you pay for your Bronco Sport?

Bought our BSOB 3 weeks ago (special ordered, took about 2.5 months). Used X-Plan, which priced it at $1145 below MSRP. Then got 3 Ford inventives ($1000, $1000, $500). Also saved another $475 off dealer handling which X-Plan caps at $100. All totalled, got it for about $4100 below MSRP.
  5. Opening the trunk, which's the logic?

I rarely dig into my pocket anymore to actually grab the fob (plus I carry 2, for the other vehicle too). I hate that they use the horn for that. That's the other extreme (too loud). Wish they had a chirp option we could just turn on any time the door locks on the final door closure. Our...
  6. Opening the trunk, which's the logic?

On a related note, I wish there were a better indicator that the doors are actually locking when leaving the vehicle. I don't use the fob buttons, just the inside lock button when getting out or the touch spot on the outside handle. I'm used to the auto-folding mirrors on my Mach-E that fold...
  7. Fob variety

Exactly. I carry 2 fobs all the time. The BS and my Mach-E both have that same fat fob. Our old Escape fob was at least a little thinner. I wish they had an option for just a tiny proximity authorization fob. I rarely use the actual buttons.
  8. Is MSRP still considered a fair market price?

Yep, Heritage is white roof. It's one of the distinctive things that makes it a Heritage. That's confusing wording. It probably really refers to "special color roof", which means black on the OB or BL, but white on the Heritage. My window sticker doesn't mention roof color in the standard...
  9. Is MSRP still considered a fair market price?

Just the opposite. The black roof costs extra. The body color roof is standard (which we liked better anyway). Or at least it is now. I've kinda wondered about that since I see so many on the roads that are black. Maybe it used to be the reverse in prior years?
  10. How often do you drive your Bronco Sport?

Similar here. Our BS replaced a 2013 Escape (first year of the crossover redesign). And that one replaced a 2001 Escape (first year of the Escape altogether which was an actual small SUV, and very close to the BS in terms of size and shape.
  11. How often do you drive your Bronco Sport?

We're retired so no daily driving commute. Just ad hoc run-around and road trips. Our Mustang Mach-E is our primary vehicle that gets most of the miles, including most of the road trips (8-10 per year). But we are planning a 2300 mile road trip in our new BSOB next month between CO/MT/NV.
  12. Is MSRP still considered a fair market price?

My BSOB came in sooner than I expected. Arrived Saturday. Got the X-Plan price ($1056 off MSRP), and there were 3 Ford incentives in effect ($1000, $1000, and $500)! Plus saved another $475 from the D&H being capped at $100. All total we got it for roughly $4k under MSRP. Quite happy with...
  13. Shorter Antenna

Same here. Just bought a new BSOB yesterday. Was checking out the stuff in the back and found the antenna in a plastic bag. Didn't even know it had a removable antenna.
  14. Sync 3

My Ford icon is already upper-left so it's as convenient as it can get on that app launcher screen. But I like running AA with full screen maps, and I can't get the Ford icon onto the bottom footer section below that so it's always there. Not sure if that's possible. Looks like AA just puts...
  15. Sync 3

Thanks. That helps although takes a few clicks just to get to the icons list to find it. Kinda wish they just had a small button right on the main screen, or one of the physical buttons would just act as a toggle. But better than nothing.
  16. Sync 3

We just got our new BSOB yesterday and I'm playing around with the Sync3 screen. I have Sync4 in my Mach-E which of course does more and is bigger, but I'm struggling a little in the BS figuring out how to get back from Android Auto on the screen to Sync3? Once AA fills the screen, I can't see...
  17. New to the family

We've got the same red theme going on. Just picked up our new BSOB about 4 hours ago, to go with our Mustang Mach-E.
  18. Is MSRP still considered a fair market price?

Just be aware that you have to be a member for at least 90 days before X-Plan eligibility starts. So plan ahead.
  19. Is MSRP still considered a fair market price?

It's getting awfully late in the model year to still have 2022's around. From a resale value/depreciation standpoint, they pretty much have to be valued less at this point relative to the 2023's. It the buyer tries to resell the vehicle in a few years, they'll generally get less for a 2022...
  20. Is MSRP still considered a fair market price?

That was pretty much my read on it too, but just wanted to see if others were finding better deals in the last few months. Unfortunately that $1000 customer cash wasn't in effect when we ordered the car in April. It just popped up for June, probably reflecting the market softening some. Seems...
