    Thanks for the reply. I inquired with the dealer and they opted out that program. I'll see if the shifter replacement remedies the fault and go from there. I've read that models from 2021-23 have had similar issues. This is my first Ford so I'm getting caught up on the ins and outs

    You're right. The dash warning suggested driver train / Trans-issue which sent me into panic mode. The dealer also mentioned the Shifter was more precautionary rather than the root cause. Time will tell
