I can't speak on the issue per se because I have an iPhone, but I can tell you that this is definitely not a warranty issue from Ford. It's an AA and Spotify issue.
I’ll be in the market to get a new vehicle in 2025. I’m more interested in the Big Bronco refresh along with the 4Runner. There should be some great new and refreshed cars to choose from in 2025. I’d look long and hard at a better and more equipped BS.
I have been driving an Equinox for work since 2017. Have had a 2017, and had two 2020’s. Drove 85k on the 2017, 28k and 65k on the 2020 models. Never an issue. Have a 2023 Traverse right now. Dead battery under 20k miles. It’s a supplier issue for sure, but not related to Ford alone.
39k miles...
Just call Ford customer service or ask to speak to a manager in the parts department. This seems like something with a little patience that could easily be settled. Also, why would you return it with no return of your points? You could just sell it online or here on this forum.
I've got 53in Thule Wingbars on mine and it's not an issue. They make a 60in that could in theory cause you some issues if you weren't paying attention. Unless you know you'll need the extra width anything in the mid 50in and lower will be fine.
I have both sets. OEM and Thule Wingbar Evo. Go...
Bingo. It's the battery which is why it was throwing the errors upon start-up and won't start again now that it's home. You could bypass the hassle of towing it to the dealership by just jumping it again and turning off the auto start/stop and drive it there yourself. My fleet rental that just...
Are there any other dealers by you? I’d be calling around to them and try to find someone that can look at it sooner. Shouldn’t take a week or two for someone to test a battery and drop a new one in.
Fortunately you were carrying the portable jump starter. I'm waiting on a new fleet vehicle for work, so I'm in a 2023 Chevy Traverse with 16,000 miles and it's battery died last week. Did the BS through any errors or have any random dash lights on?
As @SBGrad said, a headlamp is the best choice for this situation. I got a flat on the highway a week or so into having our BS. You may also want to look into storing a torque wrench and socket back there as well. I was hours away from home and not knowing if I was able to apply enough torque...
I thought the BS was pretty roomy the first time I got in one. Test drove a BB, but I knew I was going to order a BL so I didn't think anything about the engine.
I would say that you can't really assess how the 1.5L BS runs in comparison to your Escape by just revving the engine in the parking lot.
