I don't know how all of this is going to work, But I am guessing GMC is underestimating people's attachment to their cell phone. I don't see whatever is offered will be better than CarPlay.
I have a 2023 Bronco Sport Badlands. Here is what my owner's manual states:
"Your vehicle is designed to operate on regular unleaded gasoline with a minimum pump (R+M)/2 octane rating of 87.
Some fuel stations, particularly those in high altitude areas, offer fuels posted as regular unleaded...
My 23 Bronco Sport had a cracked windshield due to a small chip that caused a crack across half my windshield. I had the windshield replaced with Ford glass. That was an extra cost. My question is: would the aftermarket glass be just as good as the Ford glass?
I have a neighbor who owns a regular Tesla. His car door was damaged in a parking lot. My Bronco Sport"s door was also damaged in a parking lot. My car was repaired in a few days while the Tesla took a really long time. I was told waiting for parts was the reason for the delay. I think Tesla...
Is there a storage area to put a spare in? I would not drive anywhere that I couldn't be towed without a spare. I have had two tires destroyed. Having a spare is essential.
It is interesting that the CarMax offer went up. I have taken my truck to CarMax twice and the offer went down with little difference in mileage. I wonder if the used car market is heating up.
When it rains here in SoCal, the accident rate more than doubles. People won't slow down with the wet roads. That is the the only time I have seen AAA get overwhelmed with calls. There are times one needs to be patient. Otherwise, I have always received good service from AAA.
I have had AAA for 54 years now. If you decide to get AAA, check the different levels of membership.
I have Premier, but you may not need that much coverage. So check it out.
If the owners manual says the front, the go by that. I went by the video that on the link for the cables. I have been in snow a lot over the years and have the cables for both my Bronco Sport and GMC Sierra. I wonder if one can just rent cables for one trip to meet your needs.
Here are the cables I bought for my Bronco Sport:

As you probable know you required to carry chains or cables into Yosemite during the Winter.
Make sure you order the correct size for your tires. You will need cables for all four...
Next time you are in the area PM me. We can meet up to so you can see how my A/S works. However, I am surprise you vacation away from the NorthWest as I have enjoyed that part of the world when I have been there.
If you noticed I live in Long Beach so those areas you mention I drive around almost every day. The Start/Stop works fine for me. Maybe have yours checked out next time you take your Bronco Sport in for service.
