You can probably buy one of those “add a circuit” splicers and tap into the DRL power. I don’t know where the DRL circuit is in the fuse box but it’s just a thought.
Not a dumb question…but no. You need power from a source that would be switched on with the vehicle. If you powered it straight from the battery with no switch the lights will stay on even if the vehicle is off.
I'm not really an off-road guy so I don't see a need for an actual suspension lift. And I think the outcome regarding rubbing would be the same.
Wiring the Raptor lights was super easy...the hardest thing was drilling the holes in my grille. Check this thread about the lights...
