I apologize if this is a dumb question.

I have a BL with the optional "steelie" rims and 235 Wildpeaks.

If I end up liking the tire, or say have one that needs replacing, can you buy that exact same tire? Same weight, etc.? I had always thought the tires you get OEM when new are not really the same as the ones at the stores (I like discount tire) even if the name was the same, etc. Seems like new car tires always need replacing early when the ones elsewhere last longer.

So far I like the Wildpeaks ( it is really early though) and was surprised they had the Mountain symbol.

Thanks in advance.

Yes. This particular size is an OE tire that is actually constructed a little bit differently than any other size of the same model (weight reasons), but it is available pretty much everywhere.

Yes. You should be able to buy the same tires at Discount. They are on this forum and might chime in.

@iowabs factory designated tires, if still in production, can be sold by aftermarket tire retailers. Currently there are 3 Falken tires in a 235/65R-17. There is an A/T, A/T Trail and AT3W. Keep in mind what you like or dislike about the tires currently on the vehicle so that when you do replace them, you may be able to improve where the factory tire came up short. We are here to help. :like:

You can get the OEM 235/65/17 aftermarket at DT, cause I got them immediately for my BB (not a factory option on the BB).
