    LED bulbs for tail lights

seach forscan here in this forum, theres all the info to get it working, but yes a laptop is ideal and a obd2 cable reader is required $40-50 and the software is free, you will have to get a key which is good for a few months or you can pay for a year, and not pricey. its handy to have, its can...

    LED bulbs for tail lights

    LED bulbs for tail lights

resistors really aren't the answer here. Every time I thought I had the problem resolved, the hyper flash would continue to intermittently return. Forscan fixed the problem as the setting has now been found and published in the most current version. Forscan is the answer regardless of the bulb...

Replaced All Rear Lights With LED's

Not like the halogen bulbs in our tail lights stay on long enough to do any good in ice anyway.... No problems with my LEDs in snow and ice

    LED bulbs for tail lights

I resistored the signal and brake sockets since with the common ground was doing weird things with hyperflash doing only one or the other. Reverse never was an issue. used double sided tape as well to affix to the housing and no issues.

Replaced All Rear Lights With LED's

I wouldn't slam anyone for posting their experiences changing their lighting. Sure there is another thread with links, but these are different bulbs, which I welcome to see the options. But I will say I want to see pictures of the posted bulbs in action!

    LED bulbs for tail lights

for leds? I tried the lasfit a poster pointed out earlier in the thread and was pleasantly surprised and am happy with them. I have used the Sylvania in the past and would work fine, the hard part is finding the turn signal size at a decent luminosity in amber. resistors are pretty standard...

    LED bulbs for tail lights

Forscan never fixed hyper flash for the 2017 escape either but resistors worked, and yes, I had to add a resistor across both the brake and signal wires. they all share a common ground. I tried with 1 resistor and it was an intermittent issue, but with both, problem solved, and plenty of room to...

    LED bulbs for tail lights

Ford has always been a challenge when it comes to canbus. Resistors have always cured the hyper flash/intermittent hyper flash issues. the wiring on the Sport is interesting to say the least. I had hyper flash on the signals with just changing the (Phillips LED)brake lights to led. Once I got...

    LED bulbs for tail lights

Not unusual even for canbus on fords in my experience. I noticed some odd behavior as I only have updated to led on the brake light and I am getting the intermittent hyper flash on my stock incandescent signals(LED's on order)... Looking at the wiring I notice there is a common ground shared...
