Buster got some new kicks today....BFG All Terrain T/A KO2's in 245/65 x17". No lift currently. No rubbing lock to lock, definite increase in road noise (although not extreme at all), haven't had them long enough to know mileage impact.

For anyone's reference if in the market for new tires.

They look awesome! I’m getting some Geolandar g015s put on today (hopefully). The Ford parts team said they were very short handed today

I've had those Geo AT's on my 04 escape for more than a year now.
No extra road noise at all and never noticed any mpg loss coming off of all season tires.

Maybe I'm not right (kind of an obvious answer) I like the road noise/roar. That was one of the cool things of the super size tires of the old school broncos they just roared down the highway. It felt substantial. Granted I so appreciate 30 mpg...better tradeoff under Bidenomics.

I have 285/75/16 KO2's on my FJ and i've put about 60k on them and the tread is still decent. I have the E rated ones though, great tire overall. I would have gotten them again for the BS but we got the Outer Banks and they dont make the KO2 in a 245/60/18 so i had to go with the Falkens.

Ran into the 18" rims problem. Found first edition rims on ebay and the seller was willing to trade. Should get 'em some time next week.

I hear ya, to each his own. Road noise means heat and resistance.
I forget the tires but they had massive knobs sticking out on my friends Rodeo.. they took a road trip in the summer...
Those fat knobs started popping off bouncing like super balls.
They broke a guys windshield right before the blow out. The Rodeo needed a new fender and new tires, it was hilarious...
Stories of Glory dayz,,,, Yep it's all true...
