Fun! Any guesses of what was the deepest you went through?

Well.... the video didn't exactly answer the question. How was the Bronco Sport on this trail, and which direction did you attempt it in?

It did a fantastic job🙂. I was very impressed. Some of the technical grade had to have been at least a 6 since some of the treck was washed out with sinkholes. My slide rails got worked but happy there is no body damage🤙.

I did the South and North entrance. I couldn't go all the way through because of this. These guys had 40s with winchs and we're still getting stuck.

That mud looks knarly! I've only been stuck that bad once. My lifted F-250's passenger door wouldn't open because it was so deep in the mud. The Hi-Lift jack went down 2" for every 1" up. I try very hard to avoid that kind of thing. A good samariton came along and pulled me out after I'd jacked it up and put brush under the wheels.

I'm certainly learning to always have a buddy to come with and hopefully, they have a bigger rig that can winch me if needed. A fresh set of eyes for different lines is always a plus🙂.

It's like the old saying: If you wanna go fast go alone, If you wanna go far, go together.

I had a great time a couple weeks ago going over the pass. There were a couple of interesting spots, but everything was very doable. Definitely loving my little Badlands!

A couple notes- I aired down to about 25 psi. Was plenty to get through the sand, mud, 9+ creek crossings, one mud pit, and some rocky sections at the top of the pass. Was easily able to drive the trail West to East (so uphill), only downside of that is there are no air stations close on the other side. I opted to just drive to the nearest gas station rather than use my tiny little compressor.

Also, I just invested in a little tripod for my phone. Really wishing I had video to share of getting through the mud bog the OP pictured. In all fairness- it finally had 3 days of nice weather to dry out enough to pass through. Mud was only about 6 inches deep on the line I chose. So much for the Rangers saying the trail was impassable!
