Hey everybody, i’m new to the forms here as I picked up a 2022 bronco sport big band back in early January. I’m loving the car so far and it is the first new car I bought for myself.

Wanted to make a post here in case anyone was not aware that you can sync your Ford pass app with your Alexa account and use Alexa to start your car. All you need to do is download the Alexa app to your phone login with your Amazon account in search for the Ford pass skill. Once you do that it will ask you to sync your account. You sign in with your Ford pass username and password and create a four digit pin asks you for when you asked to start your car. I hope somebody finds this as useful as I did as I find it a huge pain to pull out the App every time when I’m leaving the house in the morning!

My phone is typically in my hand, I have Ford Pass on the home screen, 2 clicks and the Bronco starts. I do have Alexis and Google home.
I can try it your way and see what I like better.
I'm old school and still feel goofy telling Alexis or Google or my Mercedes to do anything.

Yep I set mine up along time ago. It’s nice not having togo outside and remote my car. My wife’s Jeep has remote start also and she has to walk outside to start it. She sometimes get jealous that I do t have to go out in the cold to start mine

Is it Alexa only, or can it be configured for Google Assistant/Home as well?

I believe it is Alexa only as there is also a Ford/Alexa app you can download.

I liked the idea the only problem I found is that it only works for one vehicle. We have an Escape SEL and my BS OB and we can only 'tie' one vehicle to the program.

Looks like it has a Google Home integration too:

Congrats on your first new car! I’m too old though to do Alexa. But glad you’re able to have & enjoy your first new car! I remember that too actually.

I tap my Ford app on my phone, hold down the start button for a sec or two. It starts.
I shut down my phone Ford app and usually get in the vehicle about ten minutes later on cold mornings.
If I used my Alexa she’d wake up the whole house, no thanks.

That would be helpful! Easier to say it than dig out a cellphone. I wonder if it can differentiate between different vehicles. Maybe, I'm assuming, by the vehicle name in the Ford Pass app? We have both a Sport and the full-size Bronco (it was finally delivered after a year!)

ETA: It makes you choose which vehicle when you link. It's a toggle and only one can be picked.

My wife starts her BS/BB the same way from her phone.

You can set up a bunch of shortcuts that work with HomeKit perfectly. I use them just about everyday.

Siri Shortcuts

super easy to set up following that link above.
So setup a shortcut that uses Alexa to do the startup is that what you’re thinking?

I am 73 and obviously not a techie, most of this new stuff is way over my head, however, I find Alexa to be simple to set up and use. My wife's Badlands is due on 2/10 so I plan to integrate it with the Ford Pass app and Alexa. Hope this helps.
