Yakima Offgrid or Loadwarrior? Reasons?

I’m going to order a basket soon for my BL but having trouble deciding between the two. What do people recommend and why?
Also, I do have a moonroof so curious how much either basket covers the moonroof when installed.

I went Lock N Load….. tslots EVERYWHERE. Heck… I think the tslots have tslots.

I also went to a direct tower install with the SL adapters. Low Profile, reconfigures for anything and easy to mount things on and off.

finishing up the perimeter rails today.

did the slim shady too. Easy on and off. Right side rail is set back about 6in or so to accommodate.

Nice! I don’t think I’d even come across the lock n load yet. So it’s more of a do it all platform than basket per se?

Yes. The platforms are very versatile. And as you can see he was able to mount the awning on the side which should help for launching with height. I did OEM crossbars which I love the appearance but limits to about 39 inches usable space. I also have Slim Shady awning and it mounts higher because of the crossbars. I pulled the trigger with little research I would look at platforms if you plan on doing any combination of bike, kayak, cargo, misc gear

I do a lot of research haha. They have a configuration tool on their site. Takes all the guesswork out of it. But not the elbow grease.

I did the work in stages. it comes completely disassembled.

the locks are a bit tight to get to on the slim shady, but it’s doable. The perimeter rails will look odd with it off cause the right one is shifted in about 6in to accommodate, but who cares. If someone has a problem with it, they aren’t hanging with my family picnics so they don’t get a vote

What size is that? I’ve seen some go with over hang. Any thoughts on sizes from your research?

it’s the perfect size I think. It’s the “B” platform. 60 x 50 something I think. Goes basically from the curve starting in front to the curve in back. It’s their suggested size. The other sizes are “unconfirmed”.

just remember your Dynamic load ratings and take into account what you want to carry. It is 60lbsso it takes a big bite out.

i would have to do the calc Again. But I think it was with the awning. That was a while ago and with the heat we get, I haven’t been back out in a minute.

I love this platform. Just returned a rhino rack and am probably going to go with Yakima’s if I don’t go ARB. What size is this guy?

Why return the rhino? I've been looking at those as an alternative to yakima.
