We're major metropolitan city suburbs. Consider context of statement. Bronco for driving to the supermarket is about as practical as a Hummer.

Sometimes I look at the full size Broncos and am really tempted to get one but then I take another look at my BS and realize why I love it so much. It’s just the perfect size IMO and serves all of my needs and looks so sick on the road.
Especially after doing things like bigger tires, adding simple vinyls, etc. these Bronco Sports can really look badass.
Would it be cool to take off the doors/top? Of course. But that’s not enough to convince me to pay that price not to mention cost to own with gas and what not.
All that said the full size Broncos are super cool and I WISH I had the need for one but I just don’t.

Agreed. I drove a VW or Audi with a stick 1983 - 2015. Bronco with manual transmission would be fun. Just makes no sense for us.

Commented to a salesman that the sticker on the lot was higher city than highway mileage. He replied, "it's a statement vehicle. It's a brick."
Let's see, it's boxy and heavy. Yup, sounds like a brick. Add that it sits tall with little attention to aerodynamics on the underside and it's obvious why highway fuel economy sucks. (heh)

Naw. Any harder wheeling than my BSBL can do would be better served with a beater project car. The only thing I'd want to update is the space/utility. For that, I'll upgrade eventually to an F150.
This is the way. There is no flippin' way on God's green earth I would drive a $60K+ vehicle out into the boonies to get beat up. Get something you won't cry over when it gets a scratch or two (or three).

Not a chance. Both have their place in my garage and my use case. As far as long trips, the Lexus ES350 beats them both hands down as far as comfort and gas milage. For off roading, sorry but there’s no comparison. The Bronco Sport Badlands is great for what it is but I can tell you from real experience the 2 door is much better off road and much less fear of tearing things up. The BSBL makes a great overall for travel and off roading if you can only have one vehicle. As far as costs, a new BS Badlands is 45k, a new Heritage is 53k. That price differential is still about what it was 2 years ago. I paid 32k for BSBL and 40K for the 2 door.

As far as size, there is more room in the Sport. But it’s lower and a bit narrower. The gas milage isn’t that much different. I’m getting around 22-24 with the Sport and 17-19 with the 2 door. The Sport is my daily driver during the winter and the 2 door is the daily during the summer. The Lexus is the travel vehicle and gets low 30’s on the highway.

Ainda nĂŁo vi a Big.

Just a general question, I love the look of the Big Bronco and like to ride higher up and feel a bit safer in. Bigger vehicle. If you’ve ever been in one they really arent much roomier inside than the Sport. I wonder of prices will drop a bit next year.

Love our BS BL. Won't/wouldn't trade it for a full-size Bronco. B/c IMHO the 4-door Bronco is a little too full-size (and pricey).

The ONLY annoyance I have in the Bronco/Bronco Sport debate is that I need a toad hooked to our Class C and the BS doesn't let you do that easily. In Ford's infinite wisdom (sarc) it decided that you CAN flat tow a Bronco, but you CAN'T flat tow a Bronco Sport. How Ford came to that decision is beyond me.

If one could flat tow a Sport it would be the absolute perfect vehicle.

No, I guess if I wanted the big Bronco I would have purchased it In the first place. Truth is if you asked me a year or two ago, I would have said I would never have purchased the Bronco Sport. Not sure what happened, I guess I had a predisposition for a true off-roader and when they came out with the BS I just thought to myself why. Somewhere along the way after changes in life led me to the big city, I decided to trade in my F250. Looking at the size and maneuverability, as well as the ability to fit into parking garages and smaller spaces, the design just grew on me. After the test drive of the badlands, I knew it was the vehicle I was looking for. Good amount of interior space as well as some pretty cool features. It’s really the sporty nature of the 2L engine that sold me along with the all wheel drive.
