So my buddy who has a Badlands was replacing his windshield wipers and he accidentally closed the hood while it was still up and it twisted the windshield wiper arm. So he got a new one but it was kind of a pain getting the windshield wiper off until I figured out the trick to do it. So I just thought I'd post a picture of his bent windshield wiper arm and I made a short video on YouTube of what to do. There's already a video out for the The first gen escapes but I thought I would do one just for our cars even though it seems to be the same part across a lot of Ford vehicles.

I had my windshield replaced at 750 miles and I don't think they put the pax side on right. It sticks up too far when they're off. That video really helped, Thank you, Danny

It would probably be a good idea to make sure the wiper control is completely in the off position and that the wiper arms are parked before removing them.

Yeah I mean we did this with the car off. Although I mean, unless the windshield wipers are literally moving. While you're doing this, I don't think it matters just when you put it back on. You just want to make sure and put it back on in the same spot. And there's a bunch of tiny little splines on the inside of the arm and on the base of the bolt that sticks up that it goes on so it can be hard to get it exactly right. Even if you mark it with tape on the windshield and a marker on the nut and then down to the mounting part because there's so many little splines, even the tiniest degree off can affect it a decent bit
