Issue with VWs 30 years ago with only opening the sunroof. Flemington VW/Porsche/Audi/BMW, NJ, had a brochure from VW on the flutter in a stand at the service counter. Remedy was to open a window a little.

I may have the brochure in the basement. Looked quickly and didn't find it. May go through the car folders again looking for it.

The 2006 Escape was really bad. But, like others said, crack a rear window and is goes away.

2021 OB, a few months ago was doing about 70 MPH with a gusty right X-wind. Cracked the drivers window down a couple of inches, a few minutes later I brought it up but it missed the window frame grove!!
I cracked the right passenger side and it went into place, I thought it was going to break !
40+ years of driving I’ve never had a vehicle do that.
BTW, it has been a good vehicle no problems.

Winds can have a big effect. Heading south to Texas one year in the spring with a 50 mph head wind. The doors on my 1980 F-150 separated slightly from the A pillar during really strong gusts.

Fun fact: Engine designers sometimes use Helmholtz resonators on engine intake tracts. When properly tuned, they reduce pressure loss at the intake valve at the same time the valve opens.

The ecoboost Mustang has these. At least the S550's do.

Our Bichon insists on having her window open with her head out the window. We always have to crack one of the front windows to prevent the buffeting.

My 1969 Bug with factory sunroof had the factory rear side windows that could be popped open (manually of course). They definitely needed to be in the open position if the sunroof was open! Cheers!

Crack a window, problem solved.

Bigger problem: Ford doesn't sell the Everest in the USDM. Might be a bit more challenging to fix that than opening a window.

Interesting video, Mark, thanks. That was new to me.
