Many opinions, but still trying to get definitive answer. Just bought Bronco sport big bend with standard 17'/225 wheels and tires. I would like to put 18" wheels with widest tire that Bronco sport bend will accommodate without lifts and without rubbing. Can you help?

Thank you for reaching out @SAHearing!

Wider and taller tires are certainly possibly in 18-inch configuration.

Generally speaking, the Sport will fit tires as wide as 10.5 inches wide and 31 inches tall with no modifications. The Caveat to this is it depends on the wheel dimensions, specifically the width and offset as these two specifications determine how far in, or out, the tire and wheel assembly sits under the vehicle.

To further expand on that, think of your wheel wells as bowl shaped. If the wheels push outwards too far you are locating the wheel in a shallower part of your wheel well. This restricts how tall of a tire you can run unless you have a large lift. If the wheels tuck to far inwards, there may be contact with suspension components.

With this all being said, if you want to push the max tire size I would recommend a 7.5-inch to 8-inch wide wheel with an offset near 40mm which should comfortably fit 265/60R-18 tires.

We'd like to further assist, PM coming your way!
