I just changed my RDU fluid at 85000km because rear was shuddering and not disengaging. The fluid was pretty burnt, a lot of sludge on the drain plug, and some hard bits that may be sand. But there's also these prices of clear or white plastic. They look like tiny tubes or something that broke apart. Does anyone know what this would be?

I don't know what the plastic pieces are. Mine was acting the same way as yours. I didn't strain it , but found a sliver of metal stuck to the drain plug magnet. After changing the fluid the shutter went away.

Not an expert, but the “white” pieces look like silicone sealant or gasket material to me. Found some looking just like that in antifreeze on a different vehicle. Came from a newly built engine that had a little too much used to seal it up.
