Don’t put to much tension on them.
I put to much with a bungee chord and it popped right out. Broke the damn thing trying to put it back.
That's what I'm afraid is gonna happen when I try to pop mine back in. Haven't gotten around to it yet.

You might find there's enough flex to the right or left of center as you pivot the top part open to get it to pass the center lower hook section.
Was able to wiggle that hook back to normal position today. Just as you said they flex vertically quite a bit w/o breaking. Thanks!
