What did you do TO your Bronco Sport today?

Replaced my rotted out rear wiper blade. Instead of paying Ford $23 for the wiper I took the wiper apart and put in a new rubber blade (cost less than $1 as I bought about 12’ on Amazon for @ $10). Everything went well until my arthritic fingers took the whole blade apart — I had fun trying to hold the whole thing together and lock the rubber in place ! The whole job took me about 15 minutes, but I kinda’ looked like the proverbial “monkey f- - - ing a football” <lol>.

All that for what is arguably the most useless rear wiper in the industry. I'd rather they ditched the separate glass and put the wiper arm at the top. Better function, and less of an obstruction in the mirror.

Yeah, rarely use the wiper. I keep it in good shape only because I sometimes inadvertently turn it on (damn the little button) and don’t need the window scratched.
I do, however love the opening glass — use that feature quite often, and have missed it for the last twenty years <lol>

I like the opening glass also. However, the opening is quite narrow and is a little limiting. It is what it is. I fell in love with the opening window on my wife’s Highlander. My daughter’s CR-V rear glass doesn’t open though.

The last opening rear glass I had was ‘82 Bronco (powered, slid down into tail gate) and ‘83 Bronco II. As I recall, I also had it on a short-lived IHC Scout.

Two small things from amazon that most wouldn’t notice or care about, but they mean a great deal to me (retired Marine = attention to detail).

No good place to keep my sunglasses, especially large ones. This one matches the visor, is soft inside, large but unobtrusive, opens and closes easily, and won’t fall off when I move the visor.

The other is a Linskip steering wheel trim cover. The small piece of silver/chrome/plastic on the bottom of the steering wheel was distracting. It’s covered now with some very nice quality carbon fiber. The only thing wrong is the company has covers for many other trim pieces, and I’d like to be content with just this one.

(And the small silver/chrome/plastic Bronco logo decal on the middle of the steering wheel is something I added weeks ago from etsy. It’s “light grey” and looks white, but I like it)

I really like that carbon fiber accent. Good job.

Happy 4th to you! Great question and here's some information that should help. Attached is a PDF of the instructions from Steeda's site, but let me edit them for you. See below for the actual (proper steps) and having an extra set of hands will help.

1. Yes, you remove the two factory bolts on each strut tower per the PDF.

2. The Steeda bar comes with blue screws, a set of washers, and spacers as well and two zip ties, which you shouldn't need.

3. The blue screws are a 6mm hex.

4. If you want to raise the strut bar to fit above the gas line in the engine bay, place each space on the strut tower where you removed the factory screw. Do this for each side or if you exclude the spacer, the bar will likely run under that line and will sit closer to the brake fluid reservoir and the battery as well.

5. If using the spacers, as I did, then place the bar on top of each spacer, put the washer inside the hole of the bar and then finally start your screw. Note, because I'm overly cautious, I did apply a few threads high on each blue screw some blue loctite. Whatever you do, DO NOT use red loctite, as that's more a permanent and will require heat and a lot of force to remove the bolt.

6. As your finalizing tightening each side, check your clearance to make sure the bar isn't applying an pressure on the lines mentioned above.

7. Last step, is to torque each blue screw to 23 ft. lbs, per the PDF. Personally, I'm going to check each bolt again in a few weeks after driving so make sure they are still in spec. I think they'll be good considering, I used a bit of blue loctite.

Now sit back, enjoy your nice engine bay and get out and drive your Bronco Sport around noting the change in the front end. I felt the difference on first drive and thoroughly enjoying this simple part. I hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!

Finally had the chance to install the Steeda strut tower brace. Easy install. I did use the risers as well, though I may double check to see if there is enough clearance to place underneath the gas line etc without it being in the way.

I dropped mine off at the stealership - 2021 BB with 47k - in hopes they don't give me a hard time about replacing my newly cracked (?) catalytic converter under the emissions warranty.

Installed blue/grey tow hook covers on my azure blue Bronco Sport. Matches pretty well, easy to install, and I like the look. I still might exchange the black Bronco Sport lettering decals for the azure grey Tufskinz, which I have on order.

I ordered the Steeda strut brace, steeda 7/8 inch rear sway bar, and SVT short ram intake. Going to be modding the intake to move the filter by the big opening in front of the battery.

Installed the Aero Skin. I had it on my '22 and went back to it for my '25. I was contemplating on going with the version 2, but I didnt want the hood flutter associated with it.
