Weird Sounds - Bronco Sport 2022 1.5L

Hi! I just purchased this car for my wife and it's my first turbo engine ever. I'm sure the noise is probably normal turbo noises but was hoping for some clarification because it sounds like rattling whenever I let off the accelerator.

Sounds perfectly normal to me. Still, if it worries you, take it to a mechanic and have them give it a listen.

IMHO, At low speeds I find that Sport mode has less engine rattling. Does anyone else think that is the case? Just my car or imagination?

Sounds normal, when revving the engine like that the turbo spools up and when you let off the gas the computer opens the bypass valve to relieve excess boost pressure then you rev it again and the process repeats itself.
