I'm so frustrated dealing with Ford and my local dealership that I think it's time to part ways. Once I get my BS back from its latest repair (transmission shudder) it's going to be sold or traded in. I'm also a Ford shareholder and will most likely be liquidating those shares in the near future. I've lost all confidence in Ford quality and service.

22' Bronco Sport with less than 15k miles bought new
  • Transmission shudder and horrible shifting in gears 2 and 3
  • Fuel Injector recall performed - no new injectors installed but hey here's a drain hose
  • Wounded whale sound from rear brakes took 3 times to get fixed, once my request was not addressed, second time no parts
  • Front brakes grind - I was told it's expected behavior
  • bcm recall performed for charging and battery issues
  • battery recall - ongoing no parts to fix it, mine has an EFB and if it dies under 3/36 warranty you get another EFB battery
  • front passenger speaker rattles like it's blown on certain songs - dealer states can't duplicate and not to mention "once you start pulling those plastic parts and pins it may get worse" (yes that's what I was told by the service advisor) issue still occurs
  • Coolant leak - Water pump replaced
  • Dashboard or something under it rattles sometimes - comes and goes, can't
  • Dealership never calls me when promised
  • Dealer tells me my cabin filter is dirty and needs to be replaced for $80 even though I had just replaced it the month before, called them out on it
This is all so unfortunate, I really liked this vehicle and the way it drives. I just don't see how it can be trusted to be a long term keep.

Thanks thomasm23, I've searched and read any and all threads regarding transmission issues, that one included. My BS has only 14,950 miles on it. While this doesn't mean the fluid isn't the issue I would think it's unlikely unless its had the wrong fluid in it from the factory. I've had the shudder off and on since I purchased it but as of recently it seemed that I felt it more, the city I live in also lowered the speed limit on many streets putting me in the issue range even more. I'm still under 3/36 bumper to bumper warranty for 5 more months so it was time to have Ford figure it out, if they can.

It isn’t much money to try.

Care to name your dealer?

You can always get a Kia that some hood-rat can boost with a smart phone. All manufactures experience "lemons". Perhaps you can use a lemon law to get Ford to buy that one back or provide you with a new one

I'd go Tesla. I understand they have a most awesome off road vehicle.

On a more serious note, I hope you are able to get things worked out. I am going through an annoying situation getting a replacement windshield for my brand new Outer Banks, not nearly as complex as yours, yet I can't believe how difficult Ford makes this process.

It sounds to me that you have a dealer problem rather than a Ford problem.
