I think this will be a outstanding tire for Snow, Mud and wet roads but it's a little heavy and a little more $ than a lot of it's competition. Also, as of now the smallest sizes they make are 245/70/17 and 255/65/17, both of which a few people on this forum, say fit a lifted BS but in those few are Ford Ranger Lifts and @HRG Offroad ! As it's only been on the market since last Fall, I think there is some future hope for a 245/65/17, in the next 2 years, as it's a popular size with us and the Subaru Outback Wilderness crowd.

If this is something you would like to see, give Goodyear a shout, I did.

Good Video

I had the original DuraTrac tires on my last pickup truck. It was a good off road tire but not so great on road. With the slightest bit of rain they would easily break loose. I had to put my truck in Auto 4WD to be able to pull away from a stop when wet. They got louder as they wore but they looked great!

The new version, now officially called an RT, does look more like an AT than the previous version. Hopefully, the new tread pattern and the extra siping will help with the on-road manners and wet traction.

I think for the average user this will be a better tire.
