Vehicle always starts with Defog/Defrost on medium fan at max temp.

I can't figure out if this is a software bug, a design flaw, or just can't simply figure out the setting to shut it off. (I tried doing a keyword search here but came up empty which leads me to a software bug). But every time I get in my '25 BSB, I turn it on, and the A/C unit is pumping hot air through the defroster only, and will not make any change unless I go into the climate controls and hit Max A/C. It is 88 degrees in the garage when I back out and above 75 degrees outside air temp, making a 70 degree Auto setting at least cool, and coming out the front vents. Am i missing something?

Same here and it just started doing it. It didn’t do this last year… I’m wondering if the software update caused this. It’s annoying as hell though… 82° ambient outside temp, remote start, heater, heated seats, and heated steering wheel are all on.

Now, if I use my phone to start, this doesn’t happen.

Have these two faults showing in ForScan right now. Both related to the HVAC system. Can’t imagine it’s not related.

Couldn’t get rid of the codes with just clearing them. Did an HVAC module reboot, and they went away after rebooting the module. Hopefully this is the fix for hopping into a vehicle that’s already 95° and further adding more heat to it.

Ok, so I took it to a dealership, and I don't know if they just didn't want to fool with it or something else is going on, but after they told me iI need to leave it with them to pursue deeper electrical issues, I couldn't because they won't offer a loaner. However I learned a few things about the '25 that has changed as far as HVAC controls go, (besides the touchscreen):

None of the module reset key combos work now. Beat I can do is pull the battery for 15min. So unless someone know how to reset the HVAC actuators with the touchscreen I'll have to take it to a dealership elsewhere that offers a ride while they have mine.

Also, I tried to clear the codes using an OBDLink MX to see if they reappear, and either I did and they immediately came back, or it couldn't clear them.

Hopefully once that's done, I can begin the mod list.

Sorry, I just noticed you replied to me. I just posted on your Facebook. Mine went away with ForScan, but then at the same time I realized I had left the connector that goes to it unhooked.

So I hooked that up at the same time and then realized why my codes went away.

Part came in today. Told the wife I was gonna wait till the wolfbox arrived "to preserve the fragile array cover". But she left to go shopping and no sooner was she out of view did I pop that array off, connect the sensor, peel the backing off the gel pad, and clip in all back in.

Reconnected the battery, cleared the codes, and me and the dog are driving around for a while to check to make sure ai didn't break anything peeling that pad cover off.

The cold air came on immediately though, so that's a good sign.
