UV Protectant Question For Exterior Non Painted Surfaces

I keep my 2023 BS outside in my driveway. I have been using Mequiers Quik wax on all the non metal items and so far so good but its only 3 years old. Reading around I see multiple mentions of 303 Protectant. There are 2 types. Marine and Auto. The marine stuff is more expensive. Any suggestions? Which is better? Who has been having success with this? I had an older Taurus and all the dark plastics looked bad when I traded it for the BS. Sprayed it with Back to Black from Mothers and it really didn't help but I think the damage was done. It was probably too late after 8 years of NY weather. Thanks!

I am sure I will get a lot of hate for this one. My 2013 MINI has black plastic wheel arches, over the years I have done the back to black, both cream and spray. They last about 9 months.

Two years ago while prepping my house for sale, I came across Rejuvenate plastic polish for outdoor ABS plastic that has faded. Sine their are other types of wipes on the market, and I liked the results on the house. I applied to the trim on the MINI.

This lasted just over a year and looked just as good as the car care products.

I’ve used 303 for years with good results. It definitely needs to be reapplied occasionally. I treat it more as a protective coat than a restorative one. It ads a bit of depth to faded black plastic but better to protect it before it fades. I’m not 100% sure but I think there is no difference other than marketing in the two types. Are you sure the price difference isn’t the size of the spray bottle? On Amazon I see a 16 OZ bottle that’s blue and a 32 OZ bottle that’s white. I’ve been using the white aerospace labeled variant. (I just did all my exterior black plastic yesterday )

I use that, the marine version, on my motorhome tires. Those tires are expensive and always age out before they wear out. The RV community swears by it. One thing I notice is it doesn't build up on the tires over time like a lot of tire dressing does.

Yup... I rechecked....same price, the size was different so that drove the price.
