I have been having trouble with my turbo failing however it’s only happening when I’m towing last trip I made sure I had premium fuel did a trip and without failure turbo failed went into limb mode lost power had to pull over turn vehicle off and drove well again. Why this keeps happening dealer can’t figure it out.

I can't tell you what is wrong with your car. I can only tell you that your turbocharger is mechanical. Although it's controlled by software it's not software. When a mechanical device fails it must be repaired. It's possible the software controlling your turbocharger is malfunctioning, but that is not the same as a failure of your turbocharger.

Also Mark it could very well be a failure in the turbo gasket. I have had first hand experiences with that on my 2017 Lincoln . Easy thing to check with carb cleaner . My two cents.

Agreed. It could be any number of things. My only point is if it's a mechanical failure it will not resolve by stopping and restarting the engine. That works for software, but not hardware.

what is frustrating is that they replaced the turbo already and the problem persist and no one seems to know why and how to fix. I agree it has to be a sensor or some software issue but ford doesn’t seem to know how to fix or correct the problem

It is simply astounding to me that a professional vehicle service department wouldn't understand that hardware problems do not reset. If there is another option in your area I would seek assistance from another Ford dealership.

There is no mention above if there are any codes set in ECU or other modules. Did Ford service pull the codes?

The did pull up codes all codes according to service were turbo failure related I trying a different dealership maybe better luck I do have the extended warranty so not worried on that aspect but also I still have power train coverage since only 45k
