Tracking a Bronco Sport that is “in transit” to a dealership??

We are looking at a Bronco that is listed on a dealerships site as “in transit” and they are telling us they do not know when it will arrive. They said it’s part of the “chip shortage vehicles” and they have no way of knowing.

However, they do have a window sticker linked. I tried punching in the VIN on the tracker link and it says it is not trackable.

You need both the VIN and order number from the window sticker to get the tracking information. If you have the window sticker the order number is near the bottom just to the left of center. It should look like: 12-3456-Q/T1,(your numbers will be different)the string of 4 numbers in the middle is the order number, enter both VIN and order number in the tracker. I just tried this with a couple of in transit vehicles from a local dealer and it works. Remember dealer ordered vehicles have a blue window sticker, customer ordered vehicles are green, some dealers post customer ordered cars on their websites to make it look like they more inventory than they actually have.

It shipped, or was transferred to the rail company, on 8/2. Plan on 15-22 days until it arrives. When that date changes again, you should call the dealer to see if they have it. Heck, put down a deposit to hold the car if you want it that bad.

According to the Ford Tracker, not the one on this forum site, it isn't really in transit, it is still in production. This one is a dealer stock order, contact the dealer to see if it is spoken for yet. It isn't built yet, it isn't shipped yet. It also has the dreaded 10/31 ETA and missing the RCM module.

It appears most to the Bronco Sports on that dealers website were very early dealer stock orders. If you want to track any others on their site try this tracker instead.

The tracker on Bronco Forum doesn't seem to like the dealer order numbers with the letter prefix. The dealer was probably correct when they told you it was a chip issue ( RCM module). The ETIS search shows null for the RCM on that Vin number.

Hmmm . . . would you have the "tracker" address so I can try mine and see where it is at??? This is really good info and appreciate you sharing!! I do have the "window sticker" info!

Try the "Tracker" selection on the top banner of the forum. With the dealer order number and the VIN it should give you where it is.
