I’ve been reading threads of people putting 245/65 r17 on their BS but everywhere I go I am told they will rub without a leveling or lift. Thoughts?

I’m wondering about tire size with the 18” wheels. Not planning on a lift right now but don’t want any rubbing.

I have 235/60/18 that was before my lift and had no problems with rubbing, and that was some very hard off-roading. I now have the hrg 1.5 lift and will probably go with 255/55/18 it’s and the same height I have now but a bit wider. This is the only size I can find in the ko2 in 18” rims. I don’t think I would have any clearance issues. I believe I read some where that some one are running them with out a lift.

Everything I've read is 245/65/r17 should be no problem and thats what I'm planning on putting on shortly, rubbing might start to occur with 255 though.

I believe you will have rubbing issues with 245/65/17's on the Base BS. You should be able to run 235/65/17's without issue. If you want just the width and marginal change in diameter 235/60/17's would be the choice.

Yes. I ended up going with 17” Icon Journeys on 235/65 r17. Waiting for arrival. Will post when on

no rubs with this size on a base model, even while flexing

I plan on upgrading to A/T's but the size is less of a concern as is the weight of the tire. The stock Conti's 225/65 r17 weigh 24 lbs the average weight of A/T tires I'm interested in are 235/65 r17 and minimum weight for those is 30lbs. Will the suspension of the Big Bend handle the extra weight without damage down the road?
