Hi everyone,

Wondering what my tire pressure should be running on Wildpeaks 245/65/17? Fyi its also getting colder here in Canada so should the psi be lower than recommended?

Thanks,
J

I believe you were coming out of the 225/65 or 235/65? @poodle_daddy

the 225's had a load index of 102, which at 33 PSI supports 1753 lbs per tire.

the 235s had a load index of 104, which at 33 PSI supports 1852 lbs per tire.

The 245/65R17s, in the AT3w tire model, has a load index of 111, but is a XL tire. We would recommend staying at the factor pressures for convenience since the tire supports the factory load in either spec. However, technically speaking, the 245s can support the factory loads at lower PSI.

Any questions, send us a PM and we'll assist.

information is based on ford's load capacity, as stated on the door pillar (consider vehicle with topped fluids, full fuel tank, and maximum passengers and any remaining cargo).

I came off the 225/65. Right now I have the 245s at 33psi and it drives well. Wondering what psi can give me optimal fuel efficiency.
